Know Before You Enroll

Student Policies

Please read all policies carefully before registering. Enrollment constitutes acceptance of these terms.

Important Reminder: All enrollment fees are non-refundable once payment is submitted. Please review the full cancellation and refund policy below before completing your registration.

Enrollment Policy

  • Enrollment is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment of the enrollment fee.
  • Students must complete the intake form with accurate personal information (full name, email, phone number, and date of birth) at the time of registration.
  • Providing false or inaccurate information on the intake form may result in immediate dismissal without refund.
  • Students must be at least 16 years of age to enroll in any Safe Hands Institute program.
  • Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. Seats are not held without payment.
  • Safe Hands Institute reserves the right to deny enrollment to any individual at its discretion.

Non-Refundable Enrollment Fee

  • All enrollment fees are non-refundable once payment has been submitted, without exception.
  • This policy applies regardless of the reason for withdrawal, including personal emergencies, illness, or scheduling conflicts.
  • Enrollment fees are non-transferable to another student.
  • In the event that Safe Hands Institute cancels a course, enrolled students will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to the next available session at no additional charge.
  • Students who do not attend their enrolled session without prior notice forfeit their enrollment fee entirely.

Cancellation & Rescheduling

  • Students who need to cancel must notify Safe Hands Institute at least 48 hours before the scheduled course start time.
  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will result in forfeiture of the enrollment fee with no option to reschedule.
  • Students who cancel with at least 48 hours notice may reschedule to a future session of the same course one time, subject to seat availability. A $25 rescheduling fee applies.
  • Rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing via email to [email protected].
  • No-shows (students who do not attend and do not cancel) are not eligible to reschedule and forfeit their enrollment fee.
  • Safe Hands Institute reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to low enrollment, instructor illness, or other unforeseen circumstances. Affected students will be notified as soon as possible.

Attendance Requirements

  • Full attendance for the entire scheduled course duration is required to receive a certificate of completion.
  • Students must arrive on time. Students who arrive more than 15 minutes late may be denied entry and will forfeit their enrollment fee.
  • No partial credit or partial certificates are awarded for incomplete attendance.
  • Students who must leave early for any reason will not receive a certificate and are not eligible for a refund.
  • For multi-day programs (CNA, Phlebotomy), attendance is required for every scheduled session. Missing any session will result in dismissal from the program without refund.
  • Students are expected to be present, engaged, and free from distractions (including mobile devices) during all instruction and skills practice.

Student Conduct

  • Students are expected to treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with respect at all times.
  • Disruptive, threatening, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate removal from the course without refund.
  • Students must follow all safety protocols during skills practice, including proper use of equipment and mannequins.
  • Cheating or academic dishonesty of any kind will result in immediate dismissal and forfeiture of the enrollment fee.
  • Safe Hands Institute maintains a drug- and alcohol-free environment. Students who appear impaired will be removed from the premises.

Certification & Recertification

  • Certificates of completion are issued only to students who meet all attendance and skills competency requirements.
  • AHA certification cards (for CPR, BLS, ACLS) are issued within 5–7 business days of course completion.
  • Students who do not pass a required skills assessment will be given one opportunity to remediate at no additional charge, subject to instructor availability.
  • Certifications are valid for the period specified by the issuing body (e.g., AHA BLS cards are valid for 2 years).
  • Safe Hands Institute is not responsible for maintaining records of student certifications beyond 12 months from the date of issuance.
  • Replacement certificates may be requested for a $15 administrative fee.
